Welcome to Senitrus’s MFC site. A MFC is a Multi-Function Center. All MFCs can copy, print, and scan. The better models can also do faxes. Sentirus goes one step further and will be able to make the fax line also a voicemail line. This is not common, and I don’t know of any MFC that can function like a voicemail service. The A series doesn’t have this option though. More information can be found on other pages. This will give options to anyone looking into a printer.

Senitrus wants to do good for the environment. 2 of 3 ink printers are ink tank printers. You can’t put ink tanks into a printer that needs to fit in a briefcase, or backpack. Even with the mobile printer, a return envelope for the expired cartridge is paid for my Senitrus, and will allow you to send it back to Senitrus for free. You just need to get it into the postal system. There will be no word on when this feature will be available in other countries.

Ink Tank printers will however have 4 tanks, and each tank its own color. Since black is the color most used, the black ink tank and bottle is larger than the other colors. In addition, the black ink is more expensive than any one of the color cartridges. The goal is to give enough ink for a year of printing.

If you don’t print frequently, you should consider laser. While laser cartridges are way more than ink bottles, they last much longer, and there are no printheads that will clog and dry up. If that happens, you would have to replace the printheads which will cost money as well. If you are regularly clearing the ink clogs, you are also making your sponge fill up as well. The ink has to go somewhere, and there is a sponge in the rear of an ink tank printer. Once that fills up, you would have to buy another one. Therefore, if all of this sounds like a mess, then it will be worth the spending of the cartridges to not have these issues.
